Roddlesworth Reservoir

The reservoirs are situated a few miles south of Blackburn and west of Darwen. A great place to park for the walk is at the Roddlesworth Information Centre car park, which you will find if heading down from Blackburn, down Tockholes Road and through Tockholes itself. There you will find a car park and a pub The Royal (Dog friendly). Great for refreshment afterwards. Beautiful walk, but wrap up warm in winter

Please keep safe round water

Dogs are nothing if not enthusiastic. While dogs’ energy and enthusiasm are some of the best things about them, these traits can led them into trouble. With so much fun to be had in the water, dogs may not realize how cold they are until they are already at risk of frostbite or hypothermia.

Take care round water especially in Winter.
